Specific Analysis
Denotation/Description: It is a look from Hussein Chalayan's SPRING 2000 READY-TO-WEAR show. In this look, the model was dressed in a white dress which consists of fiberglass and resin cast in a specially designed mold. There are side and rear flaps that open to reveal a mass of frothy pink tulle. Remote controls operated these flaps mechanically. (The Met, 2005)
Connotation/ Opinion: It gives me a glimpse of the garments that might produce in the future which were controlled by a controller and could change the shape automatically. The garment was made by hard and white material which were rarely used in the fashion field. There are soft and light fabric inside the dress which create a difference between hard and soft material.
