Ordering Material
A tailor dummy is necessary for this project, I ordered one from amazon.
For my idea 1, I wasn't really sure about the size of the mirror. So, I roughly estimate the mirror size of Margiela's disco mirror ball jacket. It was approximately 3X3 cm mirrors.
But Margiela didn't cover the back of this jacket. I was worried about it might be hard to cover the side waist part, as mirrors are hard and unable to bend.
I did an experiment with a vase and sized papers. vase was used to mimic the rounded waist; sized papers were used to mimic the mirrors.
It turned out that 3x3 papers fits more natural than 5x5 papers at the edge. So, I ordered 800 pieces of 3x3cm mirrors.
For gluing those mirrors, glass cements are considered and ordered.
For my idea 2, I ordered some flexible mirror sheets and ready to give it an experiment.
That is so far what I did, I am waiting for those materials and tailor dummy.
