I created a mind map with what Fashion would be in 2050. The mind map consists of 4 parts including Textile, No Fashion, AI Design, and what people would be like in 2050.
The first part is "what would people be like in the year of 2050". With the development of technology, we would have chance to change our body with more powerful and effective tools, like the robot hand made with metal that about to carry more heavy or high temperature objects. If this would be the case, fashion, in my opinion, would change its nature with more interaction with the new tools and technology.
The second part I would like to talk about AI design. It's a really popular technology in the last 2 years. Wrote down some description about a scene, the AI would come up with a drawing in 2 minutes. It is not surprise that there might be AI designed silhouettes and patterns for garments with the analysis of the trend and market. I typed "fashion design" in the AI drawing program and got drawings like this.

Thirdly, there might be a big revolution in the textile/material of garments in the next three decades. It is likely that people in this industry would come up with more environmental-friendly textiles like biomaterials to reduce the pollution from fashion industry. There is an example from Coperni and Fabrican with their 'Spray dress' in 2023 Spring Summer show.

Moreover, high technology materials would be used in the future with the ability to change the shape, color, and pattern. An example of this came from Hussein Chalayan.

There might also be materials that could deal with the extreme weathers in the future.
Finally, there might be a trend with "No fashion" in the future. It's no doubt that Fashion is a giant source of pollution for the environment. Fashion production makes up 10% of humanity's carbon emissions, dries up water sources, and pollutes rivers and streams. It's likely that in the future there might be legislation banning Fashion for the sake of environment. People in this industry would come up with ways to deal with this legislation.
