Drawings!
I did a few drawings in the winter break, some of them are creative and detailed.
Let's have a look.
A bottle of ketchup
Items Used: HB pencil, 2B pencil, Eraser, Napkin, cotton bud.
Step 1 - 2
Drawing the contour with supportive lines and to be more precise with it.
The contour of the bottle could be seen as triangles and cylinders.
Step 3
Erasing the supportive lines and mark the shadow areas.
Step 4 - 5
Shading and smudging. A cotton bud was used to create more precise shadow.
Step 6 - 7
Erase the heavy contour lines and shades. Creating layers by enhancing the contour lines that beside the shades.
Drawing is actually drawing the shades rather the contour of the objects?
A box of napkin.
Items Used: HB pencil, 2B pencil, 4B pencil, Eraser, Napkin, cotton bud.
Step 1 - 3
Drawing the contour with supportive lines, to be more precise and erase the supportive lines, mark the shading area and draw the detail of the napkin.
Step 4 - 5
Shading the box and napkin.
To be honest, the shade of the napkin is the most difficult object I had drew in this winter break, there were too many details.
Step 6
Step 7 - 8
Creating the layers by enhancing the background with 4B pencil, smudging afterwards.
The shading the napkin is really hard, there were too many details. Put some highlights on the box actually makes the drawing looks more natural.
A sketch drawing model
Items Used: HB pencil, 2B pencil, eraser.
Step 1
Measuring the proportion of the model, drawing the supportive lines.
Step 2 - 5
If we look at the proportion of the model, the length of shoulder is equaling to two heads, the middle of the body should be near the buttock. The hands are slightly down to the buttock.
The middle of arm is near the waist part.
Step 6
I was more focus on the proportion of the body, I didn't do much on the shading part. there are certain rules on the proportion of human body. Maybe I need to draw more times to get familiar with that.
A PUMA shoes box.
Items Used: HB pencil, 2B pencil, Eraser, Napkin, cotton bud.
Step 1
Find the precise contour lines with supportive lines. Be light with lines!
Step 2 - 3
Observing the box first, finding the correct order of shading. In this case, the front side part of the box and the shades on the wall should be the darkest area. The left side of the box is lighter than that.
Step 4
Smudging with napkin and cotton bud.
Step 5
I would say that drawing the contour with light lines definitely save me some time.
A lamp
Items Used: HB pencil, 2B pencil, 4B pencil, Eraser, Napkin, cotton bud.
Step 1
Observe the item first, it should be a mix of cylinder, rectangle and sphere. Measuring the proportion of object and draw supportive lines.
Step 2 - 3
Roughly draw the contour of the object with the help of supportive lines. Be more precise with the contour afterwards.
Step 4 - 5
For creating the layers, shading with a light pencil inside the object, dark pencil for the background. Smudging after that. Shading lines should follow the shape of object.

Items Used: HB pencil.
Step 1
Measure the proportion and draw some supportive lines.
Step 2
Be more specific with the line and enhance them.
Step 3
Adding more details for the garments.
Step 4
For this drawing, I was fascinated with this look. I want to catch the structure of it. I thought about shading, but I didn't do that. Some parts of the garments are too dark to find the shading area. It was more like a quick sketch. I found that when I was doing a quick sketching, I forgot to draw with light lines. I need to remind myself with that.
A bottle of Jager
Acrylic painting.
I really like the shape and color of this Jager bottle. It might be cool to draw that .
Step 1
The color of the bottle should be a slightly dark green.
The shape of it should be a rectangle and a cylinder.
Step2
The color of the background wall should be an earth tone yellow, more like the color of dirt. I added too much green in it.
Step 3
The color of the table should be yellow tone black,
Step 4-6
Paint the dark green on the bottle and cap, a white label was added.
Step 7
More details were added on the label.
It is quite hard to get the precise color of the object from acrylic. I was curious about how to draw the transition area of colors. I could saw some shading on the background wall of this picture, but I don't know how to draw that.
A creative digital drawing.
I was fascinated with some of Picasso's work. I really like the way he drew the facial features. I want to create some drawings in that way. For that, digital drawing should be perfect for me, as I could remove the color easily.

I picked a picture on the internet and try to depict this madam with an angry emotion.
Step 1
Drawing the facial features in Picasso's way. I want to make this madam looks like she is yelling or angry with something.
Step 2 - 3
Filling the facial features with aggressive colors, yellow, orange, and red.
Step 4 - 5
Adding an annoying background with yellow, orange, and red. Drawing them in a circle way.
Step 6
Adding more details on the eyes, make her look like crying. but the tear was red and yellow more like bleeding. Adding more details on the neck afterward.
I could feel that my drawing skills are getting better, especially my shading skills. more practice needs to be done with my ability to find the correct proportion and shape of the object. My next aim is to know more about the right proportion of the human body. Thank you!
